What Is Solar ATAP?
Solar ATAP (Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme) is Malaysia’s official rooftop solar programme that replaces Net Energy Metering (NEM 3.0) for residential consumers. The programme is designed to help homeowners reduce electricity bills by prioritising self-consumption of solar energy, with regulated bill credits for excess energy exported to the grid.

No necessarily. You can start with SELCO (Self Consumption) without battery (lower cost) or add BESS to store energy for night-time use, blackouts, and extra savings.
With BESS: Store solar power to use anytime, day or night, with backup protection.
Without BESS: Use solar power only during the day, grid at night.
If budget is your priority, start without BESS. if long-term independence and stability matter most, go for SELCO with BESS. Either way, you’ll enjoy clean energy and lower bills

We will schedule a site evaluation to your home to study your home’s roof structure. If your roof cannot be used to install a Rakyat Solar system, we will return the deposit to you. Each of our installations is guaranteed by a statutory roof structure consultant registered with the Malaysian Board of Engineers.
The energy generated by a solar system varies based on weather, system capacity and surrounding factors such as shading. In Malaysia, we usually use an average of 3.5 hours of peak sun to calculate the energy generated by the solar system.
